announces Pet Food Pac- 2011.
The conference and courses are the first in the
packaging industry that targets the emerging
field of pet food packaging. There will be two
courses held December 6th dealing with
shelf life extension and humanization of the pet
food package. On Wednesday, December 7th
we will have ten to twelve speakers dealing with
the entire supply chain of pet food packaging -
from rigid to flexible.
Tim Bohrer, CPP, Program Director of Pet Food
Pac - 2011, adds that "pet food packaging is
enjoying a period of rich innovation and
experimentation on a global basis. From new
materials such as woven PP entering the large
bag segment to retort pouches, newly announced
injection molded composites to dedicated
refrigerators in the pet food aisle offering
chilled and frozen versions, pet food packagers
are vying for this important and growing market
with an expanded array of packaging formats to
differentiate their products. The first
conference dedicated to examining the latest
package trends and innovations for this segment
will offer attendees a comprehensive and unique
opportunity to gain important information and
insights, no matter where in the value chain
they participate."
